What Are Call Codes?

Call codes (commonly called "10-codes") are short identifiers for common incident types. ProtonCAD allows each community to define their own call codes under Settings → Call Types.

Common 10-Codes

  • 10-11 — Armed Robbery
  • 10-15 — Subject in Custody
  • 10-31 — Vehicle Pursuit
  • 10-50 — Traffic Accident
  • 10-57 — Hit and Run
  • 10-71 — Shots Fired

Adding Custom Codes

Go to Settings → Call Types in your community dashboard. Click Add Call Type, enter the code, a description, and the default priority. Your dispatchers will be able to select it when creating new calls.
