Signing Units On
Officers and EMS personnel must sign on as a unit before they can be assigned to calls. They do this from their MDT by clicking Sign On and selecting their unit identifier and status.
Assigning a Unit to a Call
Open an active call on the dispatch board and click Assign Unit. A list of available signed-on units appears. Select one or more units and click Assign. The unit's status automatically changes to En Route.
Unit Statuses
- Available — signed on and ready to be assigned
- En Route — assigned to a call and travelling to scene
- On Scene — at the call location
- Busy — unavailable for new assignments
- Off Duty — signed off
Officers can update their own status from the MDT at any time.
